Windows 10 is the latest operating system released by Microsoft that some people may be using on their computer, laptop, tablet or phone.

This course will look into the new features available in Windows 10 and Windows 11, how you can use it in your everyday life as well as some of the disadvantages.

By the end of the course, you will be familiar with using and navigating Windows 10 and Windows 11, know four different ways of finding and starting a program, know what is new in Windows 10 and Windows 11 , what is of value to you and more!

In this course, we will look at the following:

What’s new in Windows 10?

  • Touch screen ability – What happened to Window phones?
  • A new Start Button – who cares?
  • Live Tiles – those squares on the right
  • A new web browser – now this is something to get excited about – Edge
  • Talk to Windows 10 with Cortana
  • Microsoft wakes up to Cloud computing with OneDrive

What are the disadvantages of Windows 10?

Course Outcome

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify which Windows operating system they are running
  • Know four different ways of finding and starting a program
  • Know what is new in Windows 10 and Windows 11 and what is of value to you
  • Argue the good and bad points of Windows 10 and Windows 11

A computer with access to Windows 10 or Windows 11 is provided. However, you can also bring your own Windows device too.
