Jyotee is a native French speaker from Mauritius, who is competent in both English and French. She has also been taught in French and English for 13 years within the Mauritian school system. She completed her Higher School Certificate in Mauritius where she studied the various periods of French History and Literature. She has known her language well enough to be able to consequently master the necessary tools for the teaching of French Language and Literature. For a sizeable amount of time she has used her English and French background to teach French to students in Mauritius for their end of year Examinations held by the University of Cambridge.
For two years, she has been working as Tutor, then Lecturer for the University of Western Sydney on Parramatta and Penrith campuses. She has also worked as an English teacher for Sydney School of Business Computing where she was teaching English as a second language.
Jyotee?s combination of lecturing and teaching experience in Australia together with her fluency and communication skills in French are useful for interface situations during her classes. She has the necessary aptitudes and skills to help students cope with difficulties they meet while studying a second language.
