• 1975 University of Western Australia – Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Italian) and Diploma of Education.

Experience

• Maria is a qualified teacher of Italian with over twenty years of experience and has been teaching Italian at Macquarie Community College since October 2007.
• She has taught Italian to adults both privately and at TAFE Colleges in WA over these years.
• She utilises a communicative approach during her lessons and encourages active student participation. A variety of resources are employed to ensure diversity, interest and sheer enjoyment.
• Maria travels to Italy annually and this enables her to keep in touch with the latest developments in the Italian language, its people and culture.
• During her extensive teaching career Maria has taught all levels of Italian in primary and secondary schools. She has conducted successful study tours to Italy for secondary language students.
