Lauren has had a passion for dancing from a young age, putting on her first pair of dancing shoes at six years of age. Largely inspired by her mother, a professional ballerina and ballroom dancer, she thoroughly enjoyed her training in several styles of dance, including: tap, social dance, Latin, Latin Ballroom, and several streams of bellydance including Tribal, Industrial, Cabaret and traditional Egyptian bellydance.

I have been teaching now for over a decade, and over the years I have enjoyed performing competitively and socially, in festivals and shows, in concerts and for charity. I feel very privileged to have been tutored by what I consider to be some of the most brilliant instructors and choreographers in the country, in their respective dance, and I really take tremendous joy in teaching and sharing what I have learned. I do my best to accommodate the full range of aptitudes, learning styles and abilities within my classes, breaking down movements and explaining the logic behind the technique.
I also have a strong focus on promoting high quality technique in my students, an appropriate level of challenge, and most importantly maintaining a fun, expressive and positive atmosphere in my classes.
