John McDougall

John McDougall, a former newspaperman, is the founder and organiser of the WOODSTOCK Harmonica Association, now in its 17th year.

John is a multi-award winning harmonica performer and a knowledgeable and experienced tutor – able to stimulate and encourage students to achieve their best while having fun.

John tutors at several colleges, conducting structured, efficient and achievement orientated courses.

John has twice been recipient of Eisteddfod First Prizes, in his category, as well as being a Winner in his class at the Tamworth Golden Harmonica Awards – and has performed for television and overseas in Sweden, Norway and UK as well as being a Finalist in the British national competition. He has also performed in duet with China?s world-ranked ?Rocky? Lok Yin Kei. He inaugurated a Sydney ?first? by holding the historic Harmonica Championship Competition Sydney with proceeds donated to the MS Society of NSW.
His largest audience to date has been in excess of 3,000.
