Sheena Lee
Experience:
Sheena has worked in the clothing industry since 1984. As a designer pattern maker she worked with leading clothing brands and principal fashion designers.
Sheena designed and made patterns for both high volume and couture clothing, interpreting design concepts from sketches, patterns and overseeing the fitting of garments and alternations.
Sheena was taught to sew at a young age using commercial patterns as a hobby, which later developed into her career. Sheena has always had a fascination for fabrics and a passion to create beautiful clothing.
Sheena has been a part-time trainer at the South Western Institute of Sydney / Granville TAFE from 1990 ? 1994, where she taught the following units:
? Design principles
? Trade sketching
? Textiles
? Pattern making and grading
? Garment construction
? Cutting
? Marker making
When teaching adult education at community colleges she uses a blend of the above topics to share with her students as she has developed a very hands on practical course for students to engage in as they tap into their own sense of fashion.
