GEETALI KRISHNASAMY (Bunty)
Geetali Krishnasamy (also known as Bunty) is an inspirational cook who creates appetizing dishes to excite the tastebuds. Bunty was born in India and grew up learning a variety of her mother’s authentic and delicious recipes, including a personal favourite, Tandoori Chicken. From childhood she was trained in traditional Indian cooking by elders in the family. The true taste of Indian food lies in the proper use of fresh ingredients, spices and herbs. Traditionally, the recipes and the usage of spices, herbs and fresh ingredients were passed on from one generation to the other within families.
Using recipes passed on from many previous generations and an array of Indian spices, Bunty continues to bring the cuisines of both north and south India to Sydney. Infusing both northern and southern Indian flavours, she adds her own essence to every dish she creates. Her ingredients and recipes are treated with the utmost respect to allow her food to reach the level of ultimate perfection.
Bunty has lived in Australia for more than 20 years and during that time has been tantalizing the tastebuds of many with her traditional and innovative recipes, passing on secrets of Indian cooking through her professional hands-on Indian cooking courses.
During the past five years, Bunty has taken her cooking talents to a whole new level, and opened a catering business, called Bunty’s Kitchen. Through this highly successful business, she has produced sumptuous homemade gourmet food made from traditional recipes.
