Having completed her initial double degree with an extended university placement in Spain, Ruth returned to Australia to complete a teaching qualification to allow her to use her language in the classroom and spread her enthusiasm for the ?Mundo Espa?ol?.

She has been teaching Spanish classes with Macquarie Community College since 2006 and also works as an English and Spanish language teacher at a local public high school. Her courses focus on developing language and cultural interaction skills from a situational beginner level through to more advanced foci on grammatical structures and intuitive construction of language using all major skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in a variety of individual and interactive activities.
