LEAH HANCHARD

Leah began her piano playing at a young age, adding singing lessons along the way. Although giving it up during teenage years, Leah decided in her 20?s music was something she really did want to be involved in again.

She began her career as a Veterinary Nurse but decided to undertake Teaching Training with Forte School of Music in order to teach part time. Leah enjoyed the teaching so much, especially as a class teacher of beginners that she gave up working with animals and began teaching music full time to children of all ages, and adults.

Leah is currently working towards gaining her Diploma for Piano, in between teaching and being a mother herself. She has also recently taken up singing again and has performed with the Sydney Philharmonic Choir, as well as in more intimate venues, as lead or backing vocalist. Leah is Head Teacher at Forte School of Music in Eastwood and is a Forte Teacher Trainer for NSW.
