Frank Dobosi

Frank Dobosi has been teaching Mosaics with Macquarie Community College since 2000.

His passion for all types of mosaics has seen Frank travel extensively around the world to view ancient sites where mosaic is heavily featured. In 2004 he took part in a Master Class in Ravenna, Italy to learn the ancient Byzantine mosaic making style. He has also been in his native Hungary, where he worked with contemporary mosaic artists. This has given him the opportunity to take lessons from established modern artists.

Frank?s students have the opportunity to master traditional and modern techniques used to decorate garden pots, mirror frames or small tabletops. His students have described him as being ?a very gentle person and an absolute gentleman?. ?Frank has a very passionate enthusiasm for mosaics and patience for all students.?
