Nicky Haslam is Founder of Ceroc Modern Jive dancing in Australia (1991). English born Nicky first discovered Ceroc in London in 1987. She now lives in Sydney, Australia is Senior Dancer, Teacher, Choreographer and Performer with the successful Ceroc & Modern Jive Dance Company full time.

Nicky holds 5 Advanced Australasian Ceroc & Modern Jive Titles and was inaugural UK Jive Masters Champion (2003) with her dance partner Robert Winter, also Australasian Advanced Champion. A dancer since the age of 6, Nicky?s dance experience includes 18 years of Ceroc dancing (in the UK and Australia), 8 years of Ballroom & Latin, 6 years of Funk and Lindy Hop/Swing and various forays into Jazz, Salsa and Disco Dancing! Nicky?s latest passion is the US style of West Coast Swing. Since learning the style in the UK and US over the last two years, she and Robert have been promoting and teaching the fluid, smooth and expressive style in their hometown of Sydney since January 2006.

Nicky is a talented Choreographer, producing a Ceroc piece for the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 and numerous internationally renowned Show Routines including the popular Ecuador and El Tango routines and Stage Productions such as Moulin Rouge & Chicago. Nicky has represented Australian Modern Jive in Teaching and Performance roles across the UK and New Zealand for many years and has been an international judge at Ceroc & Modern Jive competitions in Australia, New Zealand and the UK since 1991. Nicky has now cemented her passion for Ceroc Modern Jive in her dance partnership with Robert Winter, whose unique style, energy and charisma is well recognised across Australia, NZ and the UK and together they enjoy an enviable reputation for providing high quality, high energy and professional classes, workshops and cabaret performances.
