FERDINAND TAMAYO
Experience:
I have been a chef for the last 30 years. Prior to my migration here in Australia 19 years ago, I worked as a head chef with Japanese Vessel for 4 years. I took my trade qualification in 1997. I worked as a chef with various hotels and establishments including “The Bounty” at the Rocks. I also worked as a chef-manager with Sodexho and during this time I got the opportunity to work as back of house manager during the Sydney Olympics 2000.
I started teaching with North West Community College in 2000 until mid 2013. I teach Japanese cuisine, Southeast Asian / Wok cooking, Seafood cuisine, Mexican cuisine, Mediterranean cuisine, I also introduced Tapas, Tex-mex and New Orleans Cuisine.
I am also working as a credit controller with Makita Australia since 2006.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors' Degree in Political Science – Philippines 1985.
• Masteral Degree in Political Science – Philippines 1991.
• Trade Qualification as Chef – Australia 1997.
• Certificate IV in Human Resources Management / leadership TAFE 1998.
• Certificate IV in Human Resources management / workplace training TAFE 1999.
