Mark has been playing African drums since the year 2000.

Since then Mark has made drumming his life. He makes all types of drums and has been teaching drumming to all sectors of the community and to all ages.

In 2005 Mark received a grant to teach drumming and drum making to African migrant high school children. Earlier in 2008, he received another grant to teach adults at the Cranebrook Community Centre. Mark also teaches drumming at primary schools and high schools on a regular basis. He has also conducted workshops at events such as the Easter Show and Harmony Day.

Mark has 17 years of teaching experience and has taught in several countries including Russia, Spain and England. He has an excellent rapport with students and thoroughly enjoys passing his skills onto others.
