Writing Believable Characters - Sydney Course

Strong, multi-faceted and complex characters drive successful popular fiction. Course Outline

In this course you will learn:

• what character goals, motivations and conflicts are and why they’re important
• how to define GMC for their characters
• why the past is the key to a strong story
• various methods of defining what makes their characters tick
• how to further develop their story past chapter one

Course Outcome

By the end of the course you will learn:

• have a greater understanding of various writing techniques
• be able to apply practical knowledge to develop their characters and story

Prerequisite

The ability to read and write in English at an intermediate level or higher.
