A course for beginners and those with some experience. Discover the techniques unique to watercolour painting - washes, wet on wet, wet on dry, colour mingling and pen and wash. Learn to master tone, colour, perspective and composition with landscape, still life, animals and floral subjects.

Course Outline
This course will involve a combination of teacher demonstrations and student practical work. Students will be guided step by step by tutor though individual projects.
Topics include:
- Introduction to Materials and Equipment
- Washes, Wet on wet, wet on dry, masking
- Colour Mixing and Mingling
- Creating Textures
- Tone
- Perspective
- Sketching the subject
- Landscape
- Still Life
- Flowers
- Animals
- Pen and Wash
Course Outcome
- By the end of the course it is intended that students will be able to create watercolour paintings using traditional wash techniques with a knowledge of colour, tone and perspec-tive.
What to Bring
- Students to bring notebook and pen and any materials they already have.
- A list of materials and equipment will be given and explained at first lesson.
- First lesson - Paint, paper and brushes will be provided if students don’t have their own.
Prerequisite: Desirable
- No prior knowledge necessary. this course is for beginners or for those with some experience wishing to further develop their skills.

Classroom based: experienced and engaging trainers will take you through the course material face to face.
