Are you thinking about (or are!) writing a novel but need help and guidance? Or have you finished writing and now don’t know what to do with your story? In this comprehensive course, we will define and discuss popular novel genres, where you novel stands in the market, plus how to write to genre expectations. We will also tackle the nuts and bolts of actual writing - story, structure, plot, characters, setting, dialogue - that includes writing exercises and plenty of class interaction. If you've ever dreamed of writing a novel and wondered how to go about doing it, this course is for you.

The ability to read and write in English at an intermediate level or higher.
