The Making of a Memoir - Sydney Course

Everyone has a story to tell! Through targeted writing prompts, you will be guided to start recording your life story, to create a lasting memoir to share with your family and loved ones.

In this course you will learn how to edit your own writing and discover how to structure a series of writing pieces into an engaging narrative. The course will be taught in an engaging way where you will be able to share your stories as well as listen to the stories of others.

By the end of this course students will have written and shared a draft memoir based on real life events.

Course Outline

Students will:

Explore memories through a variety of guided writing exercises
Share their written stories with the group
Learn how to edit their writing
Discover structure a series of writing pieces into an engaging narrative

Course Outcome

At the end of this course, students will write and share a draft memoir based on real life events.
