Introduction to Italian - Sydney Course

This is an Introductory Italian course designed for complete beginners only. Student will be able to carry out simple conversations related to everyday situations. The cultural component will be incorporated in the course.

Course Outline

  • Greetings and Introductions
  • Meeting people
  • Enquire about one’s health and elicit a response
  • Use numbers 1-30
  • Days and Dates
  • Nationalities
  • Ask and give addresses
  • Order food and drinks at café. Ask the cost of an item and respond.
  • Grammar: Definite article (il, la, lo l’). Indefinite Article un, una, uno, un’. Introduce essere and avere verbs. Informal tu and formal Lei

Course Outcome

At the end of the course, you will have some basic vacabulary and conversation skills.

Prerequisite

  • No previous knowledge of the language is required. This course is for beginner students.
