Italian - Intermediate - Sydney Course

The Italian – Intermediate course is suitable for students who have completed at least two terms of study in Italian previously.
In this course, you will continue to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You will learn phrases and vocabulary related to modes of transport, arrival and departure times, occupations, leisure and past times and more!
A cultural component will also be integrated into lessons. By the end of this course, you will be able to have a basic conversation in Italian and give instructions and directions.

Course Outline
Topics include:
- Leisure and pastimes
- Find out the things and activities preferred
- Ask why and give reasons
- Arrival and departure times
- Occupations
- Modes of transport
- Grammar: present tense, irregular verbs, piacere. Articulated prepositions. Demonstrative pronouns.
Course Outcome
- At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Conduct a basic conversation in elementary Italian
- Give basic instructions and directions and build general comprehension and communication skills

Prerequisite: Essential
- Students need to have completed a minimum of two terms of recent study in the language, and are acquainted with the content of the Beginners course.
