Flower Arrangement - Elegant Flowers for the Home - Sydney Course

If you are passionate about flowers and you want to create elegant and beautiful arrangements then you will love this course.

The course will give you the opportunity to learn how to create elegantly styled arrangements in a variety of ways using ceramic pots, vases and wreaths. All the flowers are fresh from the flower markets ready for you to create lovely arrangements and place in your home or as a gift to someone special.

By the end of the course you will have learnt specific skills and flower arranging techniques suitable for beginners or those wanting to improve their current skills.

Course Outline

In this course you will learn:

• Seasonal floral creations
• Floral philosophy, such as colour, texture and positioning
• Tips and techniques, such as how to cut the flowers and care for them
• Elegant flower arrangements in modern containers

Course Outcome

By the end of the course you will know:

• Where to purchase floral supplies
• How to wire fresh flowers
• How to care for fresh flowers
• How to arrange flowers in different containers
• The equipment used in floristry
• Elements of arrangement and colour coordination

Please note: The teacher has florist scissors ($6) and rose strippers ($4) if you want to purchase them.

Important Information

Fresh flowers from Sydney flower markets each week are an additional weekly cost approx. $35 per class.  

Prerequisite

• No previous knowledge of flower arrangement is required.
• A love of flowers and floral arrangements is highly desired!
