This Chinese Mandarin – Intermediate course follows on from the Chinese Mandarin - Beginners course. This course assumes you have completed at least two terms of recent study in the Chinese Mandarin - Beginners course or have equivalent vocabulary and skills. The class concentrates on speaking and listening skills. It is suitable if you intend to travel, if you need to extend your business networks, or if you simply wish to communicate more effectively with families and friends.
Topics covered include asking about someone's occupation, talking about family, talking about your work or studies, asking the time, making appointments, buying something and more.
By the end of the course, you will be able to understand and respond in a simple conversation. You will also be able to form simple, appropriate, comprehensible statements and questions/answers on a given topic.

Course Outcome

Chinese Mandarin - Intermediate assumes that you have completed at least two terms of recent study in Chinese Mandarin, such as the Chinese Mandarin - Beginners course.
