Have you been dancing for six months or more? Or you already have basic dancing skills? If so come along and join Adult Tap Dancing Intermediate class!

Perfect for people who have been tapping for a while and want to challenge themselves with choreography, learning a new routine each term as well as polishing up on skills such as time steps, pullbacks etc. Perfect for people that have tap danced in their younger years and would like to get back into it.

Tap dance is great for co-ordination, balance, memory, cardio fitness and having fun.

Course Outline

You are encouraged to challenge yourself in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All material is presented face to face, and encompasses a mixture of verbal and physical demonstration, repetition, individual work and group work.

In this Adult Tap Dancing - Intermediate course you will learn:

A full routine
Timesteps
Pull backs
Graboffs
Dancing with a cane/hat

Please note: This is a guide only.

Course Outcome

By the end of the course you will learn a complete 2-3 minute routine to a song of the teachers choice. You will also learn 4 timesteps and graboff/pull back. This is achieved in a fun, relaxed environment. Participants appreciate the challenge and often report that they have surprised themselves!

What to Bring

Tap shoes are preferred, but hard soled shoes are acceptable.
Bottle of water
A notepad and pen are optional

Prerequisite: Desirable

No prior knowledge or experience is needed.
